Having studied various fields in physics and mathematics I enjoy a lot to use mathematical methods to answer physical questions. But for me mathematics is more than a tool and a mathematical proof without immediate application in physics has a similar value as a new answer of a physical question. Up to now I liked to work with methods of differential geometry (mainly Riemannian and symplectic geometry) and functional analysis, but I am looking forward to learn new mathematics such as algebraic geometry and algebraic topology.
