Lucas Fabian Hackl is currently a MPHQ Fellow at the Max Planck Harvard Research Center for Quantum Optics.

He has done research in Mathematical Physics with applications in high energy physics and quantum gravity. He is interested in public policy and has been involved in several media projects combining print, video and web. He studied mathematics and physics in Kaiserslautern/Germany, Berlin/Germany and Waterloo/Canada and PennState/USA. He completed his PhD at the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos and his Master’s degree from the Perimeter Scholars International program.
